Maintenance
Here are the changes to be implemented with the June 8th maintenance.
  • Fixed a bug where agents would sometimes not receive rewards after completing Underground Assignments.
  • Fixed a bug where the Adept, Competent, and Capable talent buffs would not expire while taking cover behind Mobile Cover.
  • Fixed a bug where agents could stack the Adept talent up to 5 times by taking cover behind Mobile Cover multiple times.

State of the Game Summary
This State of the Game focused on Update 1.7. Hamish was joined by Tom Chambers and Mark Russell from Reflections and the main topic was the Global Events that will be added with Update 1.7.

  • Will Start in the coming weeks – we have no dates yet.


Update 1.7 - Global Events
Goals
  • PVE Focused
  • Should appeal to all players
  • Should give player the option to experience the content differently and play the missions differently
  • Should make the open world and PVE relevant all the time.

Global Events
  • 1 Global Event every month that will run for 1 week
  • There will be double XP weekends and so on between the Global Events
  • There will be a new section in the Terminal for Global Events
  • There will be Leaderboards for Global Events
  • There are Global Modifiers that impacts every content of the game
  • There are additional modifiers that can be activated for specific missions
  • On the Mega Map you can see the missions where you can activate Activity Modifiers / Group Modifiers

Modifiers
  • There are Global Modifiers, Activity and Group Modifiers
  • Global Modifiers impact all content; the other modifiers impact specific missions.
  • Global Modifiers are usually a positive one (more headshot damage) the other modifiers give you an additional challenge
  • Each Global Event has different modifiers
  • Activity Modifiers will give you an additional challenge in a mission and they expand on the Global modifiers
  • Group Modifiers are tailored for groups and combine the Global Modifier with the challenge of the Activity Modifier and add a group challenge on top.

Example:
  • Global Modifier: Rotten to the Core
    - After a headshot-kill, the headshot damage is increased for an amount of time
    - When you kill an NPC with a headshot, his head explodes and applies bleed to the NPCs around him
  • Activity Modifier:
    - The enemy are poisonous in an area around them, so when they get too close to you, you take additional damage.

  • Global Modifiers Danger Zone
    - The closer you are to an NPC the more damage you do, when you are far away, the NPCs will do more damage
    - You need to adjust your build to be effective with that modifier.

Other Examples
  • Global Modifier
    - When you move, you do more damage, when you are stationary you take damage
  • Group Modifier:
    - When you move close to your team member, you do more damage and take less damage etc.

When you have suggestions for these modifiers, you can post them in the forums

Rewards
  • To keep the PVE world relevant when ever you do PVE content during a Global Event, you will be rewarded with Tokens.
  • These Tokens can be exchanged into Caches by a new vendor (We got no information what these Caches contain)
  • New Vanity items are also tied to Global Events
  • When you have additional modifiers active, you will get more Tokens

Sorry it has been a bit slow in the last two weeks, was on vacation and the internet there was bad at best ^^ but currently i am working on a Year 2 summary that should be up before the PTS launches.
